Meath Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes 2012

Meath pilgrims gathered with Bishop Michael and pilgrims from every continent to mark the Day of the Lord and to celebrate our communion with Christ and with one another.

In this video clip, Pio Keenan notes that it’s very seldom that an Irish congregation would be so early for Mass!!! The Gospel was proclaimed by Rev Michael Hinds; Intercessions were led by Brendan Campbell and the choir from St Mary’s Parish in Navan enhanced the sense of prayer and praise throughout the Mass.

Fr Michael Sheerin sums up the International Mass as “a privilege”. He compares the Mass with the Eucharistic Congress celebration in Croke Park.

We prayed for our family, friends and neighbours every day of our pilgrimage. Please continue to remember us at the altar of God.
