In this video we hear about why the Jesuits decided to establish a farm school in Rumbek, South Sudan in 2010.

South Sudan has experienced much turmoil in recent years. Following a 20 year war with the North, the Republic of South Sudan was declared in 2011.

There were high hopes for peace. However civil war and clan fighting followed.  In the midst of this turmoil the Jesuits in Rumbek are supporting peace through sustainable farming and solar electricity projects.
