Brother Donatus Forkan
Brother Donatus Forkan is a farmer’s son from Swinford, County Mayo who became a Brother of Saint John of God just over 50 years ago.
Don served as Director of Formation in South Korea and as Provincial of the Irish Province before being elected to the Council of the General Leadership of the Order and Prior General in 2006.

To have so much legislation and so many international agreements to protect human rights and assure inclusion is a wonderful thing. On the other hand, to have to insist that people do what comes or what should come naturally – is this not an affront to the human being?
In this workshop we will explore how we are all God’s children, loved passionately by Him, warts and all.
